The first day of the 18th annual Discovery Bay Easter Egg Hunt on the Beach cum Carnival 2025 concluded with resounding success, welcoming over 2,000 families on an action-packed day at Tai Pak Beach. Presented by HKR International and CITIC Pacific Properties, the event saw a recording-breaking registration, with an increase of 25% as compared to last year. Families reveled in laughter and endless Easter surprises, solidifying Discovery Bay (“DB”) as Hong Kong’s premier family-friendly destination.
The Egg Hunt sessions, divided by age groups, were highly sought-after within hours of registration opening. Despite the mix of sunshine and rain on the event’s first day, the children’s excitement remained undiminished. Children aged 3 to 10 scoured the beach for 50,000 eco-friendly eggs, leading to jubilant cheers as lucky winners uncovered Grand Egg Prizes worth over HK$1,000 each. The newly introduced “Egg Hunt Combo Pass” proved immensely popular, with a package that includes the one DB HK$50 Cash Voucher and one complimentary session of the “Easter Adventure Online Game by TeamUnlock+”.
Extended Carnival Fun & Family Joy
The DB Plaza Inflatable Funland and Giant Easter Eggs Funland at DB North Plaza were also buzzed with energy, offering families photo-worthy backdrops and thrilling activities. Children who were unable to register for the Egg Hunt Pass can still walk-in to take part in the DB Plaza Inflatable Funland and other exciting activities tomorrow (April 19), including:
Additionally, the DB North Plaza Giant Easter Eggs Funland will remain open until 21 April, extending the festive Easter atmosphere!
Known as an “Eco-friendly Town”, Discovery Bay is dedicated to the sustainable development of its green environment. To promote environmental sustainability, the colourful Easter Eggs used in the game are made from natural, plant-based materials. These biodegradable eggs will be reused in the future.
