Discovery Bay kicked off its "Winter Wonderland” Christmas celebrations on 22 November with a lighting ceremony and parade at DB North Plaza. The event was officiated by Mr. Victor Cha, Executive Chairman of HKR International Limited (“HKRI”), along with the company management team; representatives from CITIC Pacific Limited (“CITIC Pacific”) Ms. Catherine Law, Director of Treasury, and Mr. David Lee, Director of Hong Kong Property; and Mr. Carmelo Ficarra, Consul-General of Italy in Hong Kong. Hundreds of guests and the public enjoyed stunning performances, dazzling lights, and an artificial snowfall spectacle. This marked the beginning of a series of Christmas festivities continuing until 1 January, offering a unique European-style Christmas experience in Discovery Bay to everyone!

General Manager of Branding and Marketing, Ms Charlotte Ho, said, “We actively support the government's ‘Tourism is Everywhere’ policy by launching various events and activities within Discovery Bay. Christmas is the time for celebration, and we have meticulously planned a series of Christmas events to attract local residents to spend and stay in Hong Kong, as well as draw more visitors to Discovery Bay. These events will also showcase the achievements since the announcement of the DB2.0 blueprint earlier this year, injecting new vitality into Hong Kong's market. We anticipate that Discovery Bay merchants will see a 15% increase in business turnover.”

Discovery Bay Winter Wonderland: An Enchanting Trip to Italy

This winter, Discovery Bay invites you to embark on an enchanting Italian journey, adorned with stunning decorations that beautifully capture the essence of the country’s architectural wonders.

At DB North Plaza, the tower transforms into Venice's iconic Basilica Santa Maria della Salute, showcasing its Baroque architecture and grand dome, complemented by romantic canal-themed decor and gondola displays.

Meanwhile, DB Plaza features Christmas decorations inspired by the Colosseum, highlighted by a five-meter-tall Christmas tree that glows brightly, merging the grandeur of ancient Rome with festive charm.

The dazzling lights throughout Discovery Bay, along with evening lighting projections and snowfall effects, create the perfect backdrop for unforgettable moments with loved ones amidst the enchanting, Italian-inspired decor.

DB North Plaza will host its inaugural outdoor Christmas Wine Walk from 13 to 15 December! Immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere, complete with charming Italian-style wooden huts and enchanting lights. Explore over 30 curated stalls featuring fine wines and delicacies from around the world, as well as handcrafted Christmas gifts. With a wine pass, you can sample premium wines and indulge in gourmet treats. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Wai Yin Association, allowing guests to celebrate while supporting a worthy cause. Create unforgettable holiday memories with your loved ones!
