(Hong Kong ‧ 27 November 2023) The lighting ceremony of Christmas Wonderland @ Discovery Bay was concluded successfully on 24 November evening to merrily kick off the month of holiday celebrations! We are honoured to have Mr. Victor Cha, Executive Chairman of HKR International Limited, to officiate the lighting ceremony, featuring a Christmas parade, kaleidoscopic performances and artificial snowfall, with the presence of hundreds of guests, to spread festive joy and blessings around!

As Christmas is approaching, festive lighting and Italian themed decorations embellish every corner of Discovery Bay, together with artificial snow and light projections, and an array of festive programmes, welcoming everyone to the European Christmas Wonderland! Get ready to embrace the festive spirit at the Christmas Sunday Markets, happening on 10 & 17 December. These markets are the perfect destination for all your holiday shopping needs, offering a wide array of Christmas-themed merchandise, music and dance performance. A special Charity Market will take place from 24 to 26 December, adding an extra dimension of goodwill to the festivities. On 16 & 17 December, our dedicated coaches and students from the DB Ice Skating School will take the spotlight with a captivating figure skating show “Joyous Christmas on Ice”. DB North Clock Tower transforms into an Italian Cathedral, showcasing a dazzling Christmas Tree infused with Venice gondola design

Inspired by the renowned Milan Cathedral, Discovery Bay’s landmark architecture DB North Clock Tower is transformed into a 13-metre tall replica of the "Milan Cathedral”, surrounded by ten pillars and incorporated with details that mimic the signature stained-glass windows in the cathedral. With glittering lights and four sets of three-metre tall illuminating angels, the ensemble adds a touch of artistry and glamour to festivities.

The six-metre tall giant Christmas tree in DB North Plaza, featuring with 12 layers of ribbon-shaped metal structure and an eight-metre long tree base in the shape of a gondola, will definitely catch the eyeballs and create a visual spectacle to impress visitors. In addition, the buildings in DB North Plaza and Love Lock Promenade are adorned with over a thousand LED light bulbs and light strips to create a European atmosphere with an ethereal glow. With lightings and light projections on the ground, DB North Plaza are lit up in dazzling lights every night, offering a perfect backdrop for capturing unforgettable moments with your loved ones.

Experience White Christmas with Italian Wonders and outdoor Christmas Markets to add extra festive spirit

Mark your calendars for the Christmas Sunday Market on 10 & 17 December. Each market will feature over 100 local merchants offering a wide array of unique handmade goods, clothing, household items, and Christmas delicacies. It will be the perfect opportunity to find special gifts for loved ones. Moreover, you can write letters to Santa Claus and receive his reply! Decibels, an acappella vocal group, will fill the market with their melodious tunes on 10 December, creating a truly festive atmosphere.

Join Discovery Bay’s Winter Snow every weekend from 25 November, and immerse in a whimsical atmosphere with artificial snowfall and festive decorations at DB North Plaza. On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, don’t miss the Popcorn and Cotton Candy Sweet Giveaway and "Santa Meet & Greet” for a photo snap with Santa while a Christmas gift awaits. 

Support NAAC Christmas Charity Market with festive workshops and Busking performance

On top of the lineup of Christmas happenings, Discovery Bay takes the initiative to work with social welfare organisation to provide assistance and show love to those in need in society. This year, Discovery Bay partners with The Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council (NAAC) to organise a Charity Market and Busking at the indoor event space of DB Plaza from 24 to 26 December, making this Christmas more meaningful! NAAC will also host two different workshops including “Christmas Floral Herbarium Workshop” and “Christmas Body Painting” during the period. Don’t miss the Christmas Carolling on Christmas Eve and embrace the festive season with joy and bless.

DB Ice Rink - In the Mood for Christmas

DB Ice Rink prepared a lineup of thrilling experiences that will delight visitors of all ages, including Christmas Interactive Ice Challenge, figure skating performance “Joyous Christmas on Ice”, Ice Painting Workshop and more. On 16-17 December, coaches and students of DB Ice Skating School will showcase the efforts and training throughout the year with a mesmerising Christmas performance. On 28 December, join us for a special public skating session where you can unleash your inner artist and try ice-painting the Silhouette of Santa Claus!
